Five Tips I’ve Learned for Dressing the Bump

August 12, 2019

As I've mentioned before, this pregnancy has taught me some new-found ways to be creative. It made me step out of my typical dressing style as denim, including denim shorts, don't quite cut it in the hot summer months. Maternity version of denim shorts do exist, but I don't love the look on me. I've basically lived in dresses as I've found them to be a) the most comfortable this time of year and b) some of the most flattering. In general, below are some tips that I've found that work well for me:

Hello, August! Weekend Links & Things:

August 2, 2019

We're officially in August and I could hardly believe it. Normally, I eagerly await fall, but this year, I'm in zero rush. Partly because it's a reminder at how quickly time is passing and secondly, because fall means we welcome our new baby and I just need a little more time. Nate was also over 10 days late and while many would be impatient, I welcomed it. Maybe it's the procrastinator in me?
This weekend, we're celebrating some birthdays and I'll be packing for a Bahamas trip Nate and I are taking next week. We're heading to Rosewood Baha Mar with Sai and her kids.

More on that next week, but in the meantime, check out some updates, links and things that I've been clicking on:

Beauty: Seven Investment Purchases Worth the Splurge

July 31, 2019

When it comes to beauty products, there are days where I feel like I've tried it all. I know that is hardly the case, considering there are incredible (and not-so-incredible) products popping up on a daily basis. Throughout the years, I've tried a lot of very pricey products and potions that sadly, left me disappointed. Many that I've purchased myself and many that were kindly, sent to me by PR companies. In a lot of cases, if I'm not impressed, I'll just keep quiet. Obviously, these opinions can be very subjective, but today Im sharing the seven "investment purchases" that in my opinion, are worth both the hype and the price tag.

Kat Tanita’s Perfect Day in NYC

July 24, 2019

If you're just tuning in, I launched a new series that I'm particularly excited about: "My Perfect Day in NYC."

Even as someone who was born and raised here, I absolutely love reading what a perfect day would entail for each person. Not only do I get to learn a little more about them, but it introduces me or reminds me of places I need to try. If you missed it yesterday, I shared my day here.

Today I have one of my personal favorites, Kat Tanita, the  blogger/writer behind With Love From Kat, as well as the creator of the incredible travel app.

My Perfect Day in NYC

New Series: My Perfect Day in NYC

July 23, 2019

Lately, I've been thinking about what fun additions I could add to Brooklyn Blonde; posts that are informative & fun while sharing a little bit about some of my favorite people on the web! One feature that instantly came to mind was featuring how some of my favorite New York friends would spend their ideal day in the city, in whatever borough(s) they chose. I gave them complete free rein to include anything they wanted to, from eating to shopping to overnight staycations. I have some wonderful people lined up but I felt before I could introduce their days, I first had to share what one of my perfect days in NYC would be.
