Hi guys! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I wore this comfy layered look over the weekend and wanted to share two of my newest and favorite recent purchases.
1. These Nicholas Kirkwood flats: As some of you may recall, I already owned them in white and while a new pair of flats don’t normally excite me as much as a pair of heels, I love them so much, I had to get them in another color. I wore my white ones to death and they have to be, one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own. Now I’ll be honest, the leather pair were as soft as butter and required absolutely zero breaking in while the patent pair, took a couple of wears.
**Size tip: the leather pair run true to size while in the patent leather, I sized up half a size.
2. Next up, my new Celine Nano: I’ve been holding out on buying a new handbag with every intention of buying one in Paris. With the dollar being stronger than it has been in almost ten years and Celine prices now being almost 40% less in Paris (isn’t that crazzzzzy?), I patiently waited and remained strong while Celine window shopping here in the US. I didn’t know exactly what bag I wanted, but figured I’d know once I saw. And as with most of my handbag buys, that’s exactly what happened. The Sales Associate took this blue out of the draw and my mouth fell. It might have something to do with the fact that I love my other one SO much and in general, find the nano so versatile. It’s significantly bigger than it looks and holds just the right amount of stuff. A lot of you have emailed me asking me questions about the bag and even my best friend, Susy, said to me “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you carry a bag as much as your nano.” It’s true and sometimes I’m like “damn… I can’t put this on the blog AGAIN..” but an investment piece is just that, something you’ll wear over and over again and get a ton of use out of. If you’ve been debating a nano, I highly recommend!
xo,
Helena
