These photos were taken two weeks before the frigid, snowy temperatures hit NYC. Today, we're in the teens and getting dressed is quite the challenge! I'll be relying on a warm coat and some fun accessories to perk up my outfit (and weather affected mood).

I purchased this jacket when I was (pregnant) in Paris in 2015, but don't think I've ever worn it on the blog. I remember trying it on in Bon Marche and both Wendy and Anh agreeing that "I need it." After I came home, my belly got bigger and bigger and I just tucked it away in my closet, resorting to cozier wrap coats.

I took most of last week off from posting, wanting to take some time off to spend it with my family. It was our first holiday as a family of three and even though Nate doesn't understand anything just yet, the holidays have never been so special. As always, I felt guilty for not being as active on the blog and on social media, but I had Keith remind me that it was okay to take a few days off.

One of my goals going into 2017 is to be more present. I've said it before, but nothing makes time go quicker than watching your baby grow up. We all kind of stand still in time (or so it seems), but watching a little person grow up at some a rapid pace is quite the reminder to live more in the moment. It's amazing how much more I see or get done when I put my phone away for a bit.

What better way to celebrate the upcoming New Year than in a luxe, wine velvet blazer? I got this piece from Bergdorf Goodman several days ago and wore it with denim, as shown above and on Saturday night, I'm planning to wear it over a LBD and a berry lip.
