Hello, August! Weekend Links & Things:

hello august - manolo shoes

We’re officially in August and I could hardly believe it. Normally, I eagerly await fall, but this year, I’m in zero rush. Partly because it’s a reminder at how quickly time is passing and secondly, because fall means we welcome our new baby and I just need a little more time. Nate was also over 10 days late and while many would be impatient, I welcomed it. Maybe it’s the procrastinator in me?

Weekend Links

This weekend, we’re celebrating some birthdays and I’ll be packing for a Bahamas trip Nate and I are taking next week. We’re heading to Rosewood Baha Mar with Sai and her kids.

More on that next week, but in the meantime, check out some updates, links and things that I’ve been clicking on:

This past week, I shared the seven beauty products that I thought were worth the hefty price tag. After asking you all on what yours were (so many for Sunday Riley Good Genes, Drunk Elephant Baby Facial, all things La Mer, SkinMedica, etc.)  I realized that I left quite a few favorites out. I debated on editing my current post to add, but figured I’ll just create a part II.

12 Weddings Dos and Don’ts.

Again, not rushing fall, but this camel coat (and the white color way!) from H&M is a stunner.

How to answer “Why Are You Interested in This Position?” during an interview.

Don’t be fooled if you see this ‘dreamy’ location on Instagram.

Still love this fruit basket on my kitchen counter.

Not surprised to read this; strong supporter of the Honey Comb flavor, myself.

One Dress: Two Ways

I love finding new ways to make salads and this kale and brussel sprout one from Liz sounds absolutely delicious.

27 healthy snacks for on-the-go & road trips.

Recently tried this fab purifying detox mask and I’m really loving it!

I’ve always wondered what the coffee from ‘Central Perk’ might taste like…

My fav wedge espadrilles (available in 6 colors.)

So inspiring!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

I’m so glad you shared that wool coat. I’m on a hunt for a new camel coat because before we know it, I will need it.

Have fun in the Bahamas! I just got back from The Bahamas. Stayed at the SLS and I had a great time. Would love to take my kids there next time. Looking forward to hearing about your experience at the Rosewood (with the kids).

I think my first would’ve been overdue had I not been the opposite and rushed it, asking to be induced two days before my due date. I just was done at that point, lol. This time around, with my second, she came a week early all on her own. I’ve heard by many that subsequent pregnancies end faster and the labor goes quickly, which happened for me. Anyway, baby will come at the right time. In the meantime, enjoy all the spare time you have and have fun on that trip with Sai, that will be so much fun I’m sure!

    Xo,

    Jalisa
