Beauty Favorites | What I’m Rebuying

Beauty Favorites and What I'm Rebuying

Wine glass is from CB2

Today marks the start of the Sephora sale* and I usually use this opportunity to stock up on my favorites – so here are what I’m rebuying! I tend to purchase items I’m running out of or items on my “to try” list. While not everything I mentioned here is sold at Sephora, a few of these are. For the rest, they’re other favorites that deserved a mention, including the wine glass shown in the above photo.

Beauty Favorites | What I’m Rebuying

Bobbi Brown Primer Plus Mattifier:

I started using this primer several months ago and it’s been a new favorite for my oily t-zone. I still love the Laura Mercier Primer for cooler months, but if your skin is on the oily and shiny side, I’d definitely give this one a go.

What I’m Rebuying – Tan-Luxe The Face:

If you follow me on instastories, you’ve probably seen me mention Tan-Luxe several times. I’ve always used a facial self tanner, but over the last several months, I’ve been using this. A few drops are mixed into your moisturizer (or SPF), day or night, and a few hours later, you’re left with a subtle glow. It will take several tries to know how you like it: daily, every other day, 2 drops, 1 drop, etc, but it’s pretty foul-proof. Since I tend to use acid on a daily basis (something that removes tanner), I’ve found I prefer 2 drops mixed into my daily SPF. I also make sure to add a thicker layer of moisturizer around my neck, since tanner tends to settle there.

Tan-Luxe The Body:

Similar to the above, but specifically made for the body. I mix 2-3 drops into my body moisturizer and I’m left looking a little less ghostly. Make sure you add a thicker layer (without tanner) of moisturizer to your feet, ankles and knees so the tanner does not settle there!

YSL Touche Eclat Radiance Awakening Foundation:

It’s been my #1 holy grail favorite for years. It evens out my complexion, yet never makes me look like I’m wearing face makeup. I’d often mix it with a drop of face oil to amp up the glowliness.

Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum:

I love Vintner’s Daughter so much that I’ve dedicated an entire post to it. If you missed it the first time (and are interested), I go into detail as to why I love it. Bottom line: it’s such a beautiful product and always leaves me with the most glowing, healthy looking skin. This little bottle shown in the above photo is their latest travel-sized version!

Rodin Olio Lusso Oil:

Whether it’s for the face or body, I’m a huge lover of oils. There’s just something so luxurious and special about them. Rodin Olio Lusso Oil is at the top of the luxury oil list. If you’re looking to treat yourself or want to give a gift of something fabulous, this is my favorite. Bonus points for looking absolutely beautiful in the bathroom.

Oribe Gold Lust Hair Oil:

This luxurious, lightweight oil absorbs instantly to help restore all hair types back to its prime condition. Safe to use for colored or keratin-treated hair and works especially well if yours is more on the dry &/or damaged side. Apply as a pre-shampoo treatment, before blow drying for heat protection, or on dry hair for luster and frizz control.

Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lipgloss Pastel #12:

When I’m not wearing a bright lip, chances are, I’m wearing this. Hands down, my favorite lipgloss out there! Another favorite color of mine is Bellini.

YSL Touche Eclat All-In-One Glow:

It’s a drop lighter than the Radiance Awakening and almost acts like a tinted moisturizer, but with a little something extra. If you’re into light foundations, give this a try.

Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum:

Just purchased my second bottle as I’ve really enjoyed having this in my rotation. This serum is intended for night and refines and resurfaces skin to reveal a smoother and more radiant complexion. It’s a great solution for dullness, pores, and uneven skin tone. I tend to alternate between this, prescription retinol and Sunday Riley Good Genes.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum:

Another product I’ve mentioned before. You can check out the full Drunk Elephant post here, but this is definitely something that I’m rebuying.

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara:

This continues to be one of the best mascaras I’ve tried.  I’ve repurchased several tubes and anytime there’s a Sephora sale, I stock up (con: it dries out rather quickly, but I still love it).

Bobbi Brown Blush Pretty Pink:

One of my favorite subtle, but buildable, pink blushes out there.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in 2.5:

I’ve tried many concealers but always end up coming back to this one. It does the best job of actually concealing without caking. I use this under my eyes, on any red spots and on blemishes.

What I love so much about this little guide of yours is that you mentioned so many great skincare products. Until a short while ago, I only really thought of Sephora for makeup, but this has completely changed, and to be frank, I am much more lured to their skincare department now. That Drunk Elephant C Serum looks wonderful and seems to be exactly what we will need as the Winter slowly, but surely approaches us in the city. A product recommendation I have for you, considering you love this Nars concealer, is the soft matte concealer in the pot. It is great for covering blemishes and undereye circles, the shade range is phenomenal, and you only need a tiny bit so it will last you a while. Have you tried this! Wishing you and your family and wonderful weekend – I hear the weather is suppose to be beautiful! xx
