A few weeks ago, along with fellow Brooklynite, & born and bred New Yorker, {Dapper} Lou, I spent the morning at the newly revamped Barneys New York (Brooklyn Store) for an incredible shoot. The one little catch? Lou was in charge of picking out my three looks and I was in charge of picking out his. At first, I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous. Even though I like to think I know what a man looks good in, it’s definitely not my area of expertise. Luckily for me, it’s Barneys, so hey, how wrong can you go?
But more importantly, imagine this: you’re in heaven (aka Barneys), it’s early in the morning, which means the store is closed off to the rest of the world, and you have free rein to pull whatever you want. WHATEVER YOU WANT. I mean, if that’s not a real life dream, I don’t know what is. Alaia dresses, Saint Laurent shoes, Helmut Lang coats, etc. I mean….seriously? Needless to say, it was a blast and of course, I walked away with doing a little damage of my own, thanks to Lou, who did such a good job at picking looks for me!
