Weekend Notes: March 12

Weekend Notes March 12 with yellow shoes and blue pants and sweaterShoes: Manolo Blahnik Hangisi | Bag: Bottega Jodie| Denim

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Half of our family has been sick with a cold, so we’ve been laying pretty low rewatching Sing 1 and 2 and just bumming around in our PJs.

Even though we’ve had a cold weekend, for the most part, the weather has been beautiful and NYC is starting to feel like it has a pep in its step. I’ve been batching all of my city errands, events and meetings into one day and making it one of my favorite days of the week. During the in between times, I typically walk around, people watch and slowly fall back in love with the city. And if all goes according to plan, ideally I end the day with a dinner with some friends.

Some great links from the week:

Instagram worthy hotels in NYC.

Also, on that note, for a night out in NYC, where to stay and where to dine.

I’m having a spring fling with shades of blue.

Great post from Shopbop on some of their Women-Led Brands.

Saks is currently having their gift card promo and included are some of my favorites in beauty: Augustinus Bader Rich Cream, Baccarat Rouge 540, La Mer and Supergoop sunscreen.

Wowza. Jenna Lysons’ dreamy Soho loft really is as cool as you’d expect. Such a representation of her eclectic style.

When it comes to kids swimwear, Minnow is our favorite when we’re spending a little extra. We always size up.

I love my Vuori joggers. The quality, fit and the way they wash is unmatched! They released their new collection that is so pretty for spring.

These trouser jeans are one of my favorite pairs at the moment. I took my usual size.

This glowy super gel from Saie has been one of my recent favorite products. I mix a pump or two into my tinted SPF or foundation and it creates he most beautiful, luminous glow. I’ve been using the color Starglow

It’s okay to talk about (and make, and spend, and invest) money.

Helena, I know you are Russian. Which is why you’ve conveniently not mentioned anything about what’s going on in Ukraine. It’s easy to jump on other people’s causes like BLM etc if it cost you nothing. But when it hits close to home and could potentially cost you something you stay silent( just like cops stay silent). As a person of color who have followed you since you were looking for a home in Brooklyn. I definitely won’t be taking you seriously when you support a cause outside of yourself.

      Hi Elsa,
Your comment is a bit presumptuous. You assuming, just because I am Russian, that I haven’t mentioned anything is completely inaccurate.

Maybe you don’t follow me on instgram, where these days, admittedly. I spend more of my time, but I’ve been posting quite often there (and also have a highlight saved if you care to check it out). Quite honestly, I’d rather you not follow me then come at me with your inaccurate assumptions. We have enough negativity and bad energy in this world.

Sister, it is obvious you dont follow her, for long time as i do or at her IG where she clearly and deeply personally explained how her mother told her they were inmigrants. It is horrible how you come accusing someone of something. Sister, sit down and simmer your tea
