Weekend Notes: February 25th.

It’s currently 11:35PM on a Friday night and I just finished watching a few episodes of Shrinking. If you’re looking for a new show to watch, it’s a really good one. I should probably be sleeping, but instead I’m on the computer which is not necessarily a bad thing, but Helena of the morning will probably regret this decision. Particularly since it’s Keith’s turn to sleep in tomorrow.

Weekend Notes: February 25th.

The above photo was taken at one of the highlights from last week. the New York Botanical Garden Orchid dinner. Quite honestly. I don’t even know how I got on their radar to get an invite, but I wasn’t about to question it. The event itself was absolutely epic and I still don’t stop pinching myself over some things I get to experience, both from living in New York and being a part of this industry.

Speaking of, The Orchid Show has officially kicked off at NYBG

This is the dress that I wore and I’m already planning to rewear it for another outing I have next week. It’s flattering and the white base makes sit fairly easy to style. I am wearing a medium and would say it runs true to size.

After seeing so much buzz about Merit Instant Glow Serum, I had to try it for myself. It was sold out for awhile, but I finally snagged it when it came back in stock. My first impression is that I’m pretty impressed. I don’t love the packaging, but the product itself leaves my skin looking extra nice. Also, I use it under my SPF and my UBeauty Super Hydrator, but in the summer, I’d probably nix the Hydrator for day.

I haven’t watched Fleishman is in Trouble Yet just yet, but someone shared this article with me and holy, what a read. “In a city of Rachels and Libbys, the FX show has some New York moms worried they’re the ones in trouble.”  Nowadays, whether you’re a New Yorker or not, particularly after Covid, I feel like many of us can relate.

Are blogs coming back? I loved this post and think (hope?) this will be the case.

One of my favorite collections from Fall 2023 comes from Khaite. They keep getting better and better. While it’s rare I add their pieces to my closet (I own one pair of boots), it serves for such great inspiration.

Shopbop recently added Favorite Daughter and it’s good. I have quite a few things I’m kind of lusting after like this trench and this purple two piece number.

Another great looking trench that’s under $150. I also love this leather effect trench.

Seven outfits I wore in Mexico.

A friend of mine was wearing these Manolo inspired mules from Amazon and I have to admit, she had me fooled.

I love a linen shirt, particularly for a vacation or summer wear and H&M’s Premium Selection (my fav) has a few really good ones right now.

I love this coat from Sézane.

My entire list of Thet Weekly Top can be found here. Would you be interested in me including the list in a weekly blog post with a bit more detail? Please let me know!

The Jack Arnold for Crate & Barrel collection is beyond words gorgeous. If I was in the market for a coffee table, this one would be first on the lists.

10 Surprising Tips for Parents of Young Children.

The puzzling gap between how old you are and how old you think you are. Why is this so true? In my head, I’m like 30/31, certainly not 41.

Wishing you all a great week ahead! Our kids were off for all of last week and they’re heading back tomorrow. It was so nice to spend some extra time with them, but we are all ready to jump back into our routine.

I didn’t have any expectations concerning that title, but the more I was astonished. The author did a great job. I spent a few minutes reading and checking the facts. Everything is very clear and understandable. I like posts that fill in your knowledge gaps. This one is of the sort.
