While I hope that 2021 is filled with a bit more shoes than 2020 was, I know that my sneakers will continue to get a lot of action.
Today I’m rounding up my favorite pairs and some outfits to go along with them. As an avid shoe wearer, I’ll admit that it’s been fun experimenting with a few more outfits that revolve around sneakers rather than shoes, heels and boots.
The Four Pairs of Sneakers that I’m Reaching for Most

Cashmere Sweater | Waffle Knit Pant | Sneakers: New Balance x J.Crew 996 (also comes in navy)
New Balance:
I wore New Balance sneakers back in High School and recently rediscovered them. If I had to pick one pair that won in terms of comfort, it would be these, hands down. I’m also really into these and am envisioning them with black leather leggings and an oversized sweater and a tailored coat.
Sizing: I find this style runs true to size and I took my usual US 8.5.

Converse 70’s High Tops:
I’ve been reaching for my 70’s Converse the most lately. I always think about Kate Moss when I put them on and get inspired to pair them with slightly more glamorous pieces like a faux fur coat.
Sizing: I find that these run large and I sized down one full size.

Axel Arigato Clean 90 Triple:
I love Axel Arigato sneakers and own several pairs. While the pair pictured below is my favorite for a super simple, minimalistic sneaker, I really like having this option to change things up. I tend to reach for them the most in the warmer months and also love how they look with a dress.
Sizing: I normally wear an 8.5 and I take these in a 39, my usual European size.

Axel Arigato Clean 90:
This pair of Axel Arigato’s is my #1 favorite for that clean, effortless, easy look. They look similar to Common Projects, but at a fraction of the cost.
Sizing: I normally wear an 8.5 and I take these in a 39, my usual European size.

I was on the fence with “needing” the black 70s high tops and by the time I convinced myself I needed them they were sold out in my size 😭 so glad you linked them in this post and I could order them!! They’re definitely going to be a wardrobe staple.
