It's only when you wake up at 5AM to get to Soho by 7AM, that you'll find the streets mostly empty. I've never been much of a morning person until I became a mother. I would have much preferred to go to sleep at 2AM and sleep in till 9, calling myself a "creative night owl," but all of that changed this past year. Partly because I had no choice in the matter and partly because I've secretly started enjoying how much more productive I became.

About two weekends ago, Keith and I headed into the city to celebrate the birthday of one of our closest friends. We decided rather than coming home that night, we'd spend the night at a hotel in the city.

New York has been experiencing some of the most incredible weather and I've been trying to take complete advantage of it. Being able to wear a simple tee + a blazer (and be perfectly comfortable) is another one of life's simple little joys. And while I do love having four seasons, winter is one I could do without once January 1st rolls around.
