A Mini Update & Weekend Links

A Mini Update & Weekend Links on the blogTrench: Topshop (old) | Denim: L’Agence | Boots: Balenciaga | Bag: Fendi Defender.

I’m so excited because today, I’m meeting with an interior designer, Devon of Devon Grace Interiors, to discuss how we could update our dining room. We’re keeping a few of the major pieces: our dining table, our rug, our light fixture and our midcentury modern bar. But as far as the other details, my brain was at a bit of a standstill in figuring out how to proceed. After renovating and designing our kitchen and bathroom, I felt completely fatigued with all of the decisions. I wanted a professional to come in and to just guide me on the little details and ways we could spruce it up. For example, our gallery wall, something I’ve been talking about for ages, is one of the main things I want to tackle. Then, I would love to update our dining room chairs and side tables.

They’re all small changes, but it’s the little things that make the biggest impact. Here’s a photo of our dining room from three years ago, in which I was 39 weeks pregnant with Nate. Since then, we’ve updated the rug and a few chairs, but the other things have stayed the same.

A few other things that have caught my eye this past week:

Why gratitude is better than a diet.

My type of office look: this blazer & these pants.

Everything we know about Netflix’s 2019 Original Series lineup.

Such a unique candle.

Emilia Clarke, of “Game of Thrones,” shares her important story on getting struck with two aneurysm.

10 things to help declutter your fridge, bathroom, and entryway this spring.

Eric Carle’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year! Most of Nate’s favorite books are by him and on constant rotation in our home. A few months ago, I shared some favorite classic children’s books that got recommended over & over again. We’ve added a few of them to Nate’s collection since.

Who watched these ’90s game shows?

A perfect spring bodysuit.

The importance of teaching your kids to fail.

One of my favorite pairs of light-wash jeans.

Talk about brain-freeze!

Wishing you all the best weekend! Tonight, we’re going to see The Magician at the Nomad (it was on my experience gift post), tomorrow we’re going out to dinner to celebrate the birthday of one of our best friends and Sunday, we’re heading to my moms to celebrate her birthday. Lots of things going on!

xoxo,

Helena
