Seasonal Rut {What I Reach For}
I don’t know if it’s the weather or the weird transitional time between cold and hot, but I’ve been in a slight dressing rut as of late. This happens every year, maybe twice a year, when we go from one season to the next. I hope it’s not overly obvious (is it?) but I’m doing my best to snap out of it. When this tends to happen, I end up reaching for my “uniform,” which is several versions of the above outfit. Shoes will change, from flats to heels, depending on where I’m going and what I’m doing. The good thing is that, despite the rut, my uniform makes me feel put together, without too much effort. Thank goodness for those trusty closet pieces that require little or no effort.

I couldn’t agree more. This week I have worn the same jeans almost every day, a fitted tee and a blazer or cardigan. It’s crazy. Oh and my black Gucci loafers, I live in them especially now because it is so wet out.

I definitely feel you here. Normally when this happens to me, I usually opt for a pair of jeans and a simple v-neck t-shirt. Simple is always the way to go because you can be reassured that it will look good. Also, this way you can spice it up with accessories of your liking and no one will every know how long it actually took you to get ready lol!
