I remember like it was yesterday, being 17 years old and on a senior year, Mexican spring break trip with a bunch of my closest girlfriends. We were all lying on the beach, probably slathered in Banana Boat tanning oil, when I spotted her. You know, that woman who is so perfectly put together, even when on a beach. She was wearing a bright orange sarong, a large straw hat and a stack of colorful bangles, which as impractical as that sounds for a beach, was what elevated her entire look. For the remainder of our vacation, I would eagerly search for her, just so I can see what type of beautiful outfit she would have on. Every singe day it would change, each being better than the last, but one thing that never came off, her stacks of bangles. Since then, I’ve always been drawn to large stacks of colorful bracelets and bangles, particularly when the warm season kicked in. I can’t help but think of great times, filled with friends, cocktails and warm breezy air.
These bracelets from LAGOS are easily a new favorite. I wore them to a roof top party the other night and must have received about five compliments in the matter of 2 hours. They take what would have been a simple summer dress, to something a little more glamourous. That’s the beauty of the perfect accessories… it’s those details and often the key ingredient to any outfit.
