Visual Inspiration

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been into inspiration boards. As much as I love Pinterest, there’s just something about having the actual photos in front of you. Whether it’s a vision board of goals you want to achieve (big believer in this), or fashion inspiration from the latest fashion shows (which I also, always print out), having the images physically there cannot be beat.

Before the start of each season, I always print out a bunch of images of looks I want to put together or pieces I’m coveting. It gets my creative juices flowing and I swear, I truly feel I’m better at what I do because of it. I’ve been using the Canon PIXMA MG7120 Wireless Inkjet All-in-One printer to print out these inspiration photos. Aside from using it in the way I’m speaking of, it can be used to print out photos of your friends, family, travel..etc. We’ve become such a digital society, that I love getting into the habit of printing actual photos. This printer has made it so nice to have that option right at your finger tips.

In the past few months, I’ve printed out a bunch of inspiring fall images: camel coats, long vests, capes, cozy sweaters, etc.. and created my own looks based on my surrounding visual inspiration.Yes, I can certainly login to Pinterest, but for me, it’s not the same thing. I’m also not the most organized person and can sometimes be all over the place, so this makes my thought process so much more streamlined.
