The Lighter Side of Things

Jeans: Rag & Bone, Sweater: Zara (old), Belt: Banana Republic Outlet, Bag: Pietro Alessandro, Shoes: Sigerson Morrison (also available here) Sunglasses: Celine Audrey, Spike Bracelet: Cara, Other: J Crew, Watch: Michael Kors.

One of the questions I often get, “can I wear white jeans in the winter?” I actually get a bit surprised that some still obey by the “no white post-Labor Day” rule. For me, the key is to pair it with “cold-weather” textures like a knit sweater and suede shoes, even if both are light in color (like I’m wearing above). I also find that white jeans are the most flattering with a shoe, especially with some skin showing,  rather than tucked into a boot, which cuts off the look of the leg.
Lastly, I love that white jeans are a bit unexpected in the winter, yet seem dressier than a pair of blue jeans.
