My Favorite Opaque Tights, 30 Minute Ramen & Finally Getting My Hair Done

My Favorite Opaque Tights, 30 Minute Ramen & Finally Getting My Hair DoneSweater: Mango (wearing a small) | Skirt: Club Monaco (old) | Bag: Vintage Chanel via Shopbop

Happy Friday! I missed posting this Wednesday, so my apologies for that. I always feel guilty when I miss a day (it’s like missing a day of work), but life got in the way and I needed to call out sick.

I’m currently sitting at FOURTEENJAY, the Aveda salon I get my hair done for some much added brightness. I may have mentioned before, but I stopped with the bleach, the main reason my hair is a lot darker these days. Nonetheless, my genius colorist, David, mixes color together to still get that dimensional/highlighted effect.

I’m not sure if you’re all familiar with Glamsquad, but if you live in or are visiting a big city, they’ve been an absolute lifesaver when I needed a blowout or makeup before an event or party. Recently, they launched a new line of hair products, including everything from dry shampoo to texturizing spray.

I finished reading Christina Lauren’s latest book and was going to start Verify by Colleen Hoover, but got side tracked by this book after several of you messaged me to tell me that you think I would love it. Just started it last night!

If you’re looking for a black faux fur coat, this one is gorgeous. Also smitten with this faux fur that is under $100!

This past week, I made this 30 minute Thai Peanut Chicken Ramen and after Liz shared it on her stories. It was so good! Next time, I might try subbing regular noodles for Kelp noodles and adding a bit more broth.

These black opaque tights are not cheap, but they’re one of the best pairs I’ve ever tried. I’ve purchased other tights that end up ripping after a few wears. Never with these!

Would you go to Trader Joe’s 3 times a day?

These loafers are definitely getting me into the holiday spirit. Ps, use code Helena50 for $50 towards your first purchase on any pair!

I want to try these chocolate chip cookies that Grace shared.

14 buzzy, brand-new NYC restaurants to try in 2019.

This is too sweet not to share.

A bold & beautiful statement coat.

Do you really need to wash avocados before eating them?

Wishing you all the best weekend!

happy weekend friend! You are gonna love the cookies. They are so good and (sorta???) healthy! Thanks for linking to them.

Have you tried Express opaque tights? I actually like them better than Wolford. They last me forever even sending them out in the laundry.

Lastly yay – I am reading that book too now… it’s really cute so far. We gotta get you on the podcast in 2019 for a book club episode!

    Have the best weekend! XO

Ahh I LOVE the express tights and used to always recommend them! You’re 100% right – they’re fab! I do find that after a winter of wearing, I need to get a fresh pair, but with the Wolford, they’re good as new season after season.

      AND YES to the podcast!

      xoxo

Such a cool post, I really like these 🙂
The sweater you’re wearing in the photo is gorgeous, looks so much more expensive than Mango imo.

I will definitely be checking out the 14 new buzzing restaurants in NYC considering I wanted to try some new places this holiday season, and considering I have been wanting to make cookies, it looks like I will have a perfect recipee to follow. It seems like this post was perfect timing – not too late at all! Have a wonderful holiday and holiday weekend with your family xx

Love that you treat this like an actual job. Of course things come up and you don’t need to be perfect but it shows a level of professionalism to be consistent.

Couldn’t agree more on the tights – Wolford is the Chanel of tights!!! They are definitely pricey, but the cost per wear will be low because they last and last and last! And they look perfect everytime you put them on. Happy Holidays Helena!

I remember this skirt – you have worn this so much and I love seeing reworn stuff honestly. Also, yay with Wolford – I have stopped buying other tights. Net net its the same money spent and waste with horrible tights – this is so recommended!

I love that ramen recipe. I cook the noodle (I use soba noodle) separately to make the broth less starchy 🙂 I
