Blazer: don’t remember because it’s so old (similar here and here) | Tee: ATM (so soft!) | Pants: Rag & Bone | Boots: Balenciaga (love this over the knee pair) | Lipstick: Stila Isla  (such a great pinky nude)

London is one of my favorite style cities in the world so I was going for the NYC meets London vibe, tartan blazer and all, for our 2nd day of London Fashion Week. Ever since I’ve been working with TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe, I’ve been really noticing how often I think “Okay, so with this hair, I’m going to wear this outfit…” and this time, it was no exception. It’s possible that back in NYC, I might have worn this look with a side parted, classic ponytail, but in trying to get a more “London effortless” look, I went for a tousled casual but glam vibe.

Now, moving on to some behind the scenes photos:

We started our day going backstage to Vivienne Westwood Red Label and hands down, it was the wildest (literally) hair & makeup I’ve seen all season, and I mean that in the best possible way. To be able to witness these artists like the designers themselves, hair stylists, makeup artists, etc… all come together to put on such a show is so admirable. I have so much respect for these people who put so much blood, sweat and tears into doing what they love. The above is one of my favorite backstage photos. Mark Hampton, Global Brand Ambassador for TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe, caught in action. He created a teased out, glamorous look to give them that “wild animalistic” feel all set in place with the Glamour Firm Hold Hairspray. Being backstage, I felt like I was watching a Broadway show come together. It was so artistically beautiful! 4

After Vivienne Westwood Red Label, we headed backstage to Matthew Williamson, which was basically on the other side of the spectrum. The hair was sleek and shiny and when briefly chatting with Mark backstage he said the inspiration for the hair was “70’s glamour,” which was created with the Glamour Volume Pumping Whip to give that volume and shine to the hair after blow-drying. The show was full of beautiful colored patterns, textures and prints – a perfect  compliment to this sleek yet glamourous hairstyle. It was one of my favorites I’ve seen this year.

I’m now home from London and catching up on some things before leaving again tomorrow (to Paris!). Thank you guys for following along during my London Fashion Week adventures with TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe.
