Everything I’ve Tried & Loved from Westman Atelier

makeup products from Westman AtelierIn the last year or so, Westman Atelier has quickly become one of my favorite makeup brands, if not my favorite. The quality, the texture and the buttery way the products melt into the skin. Everything I’ve tried makes my skin look like my skin, but better. It also comes in the most beautiful, easy-to-use packaging. The line is definitely on the pricier side, but in all fairness, I haven’t been disappointed in anything that I’ve tried. It’s also 100% clean, if that’s something that’s important to you.

The woman behind the brand is Gucci Westman who has been the makeup artist behind some of Hollywoods A-list celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow & Reese Witherspoon.

Right now, these are two of my Westman Atelier favorites: The Lit Up Highlight Stick (I use both ‘Lit’ and ‘Nectar’) & The Vital Skin Foundation Stick (I use shade ‘Atelier III – light medium, gold undertone.’)

I haven’t tried everything from the brand, but I’m slowly getting around to it. In the meantime, here are my favorites:

Vital Skin Foundation Stick

The first product I tried that I fell in love with. It melts into the skin in the most beautiful way and makes your skin look like you’re not wearing much (if any) face makeup. I love that it’s completely buildable so you’re really able to apply as little or as much as you want, depending on the type of coverage you need that day. For the first few months, I used my fingers to apply and I was happy with the results. However, I’ve recently started using the raved about Westman Atelier Foundation Brush and I really love the upgrade. If you own another foundation brush, that will do just fine, but if you’re in the market for one, look into the Westman one.

I use shade #2 or #3 if I’m wearing extra self tanner. Occasionally, I’ll use #2 around my t-zone and #3 along the rest of my face and blend them together.

Baby Cheeks Blush Stick

I’ve never been one for cream blushes until I tried Baby Cheeks. In the past, I’ve tried several others, but I’ve always found that they either didn’t blend that well, leaving me with streaky spots on my cheeks or quite frankly, they were too much work. This one is the exact opposite of any that I’ve tried.  Like the foundation stick, it blends so beautifully, is easy to use and deposits just the right amount of (buildable) color. I currently own two colors: Chouchette (a nude peach) and Petal (a dusty nude rose). I love both, but find myself reaching for Chouchette a wee bit more. There are days where I use a little on my cheeks, nose and even eyelids. Fingers work well but since getting the Atelier foundation brush, I’ve kind of just been using that for everything.

Lit Up Highlight Stick

Sign me up for any makeup product that makes it look like you’ve spent the entire getting a facial. This highlighter does just that. It’s subtle, yet gives the most beautiful, glowy look without any stickiness. I initially started out with Lit, a glassy iridescent, sort of holographic shade.  I loved it so much that I recently got Nectar, a glassy golden peach. It’s hard to pick which one I love more as I find myself using both quite often.  If I had to pick, I’d start with Lit, which has no color, so it really works on its own or whatever blush and/or bronzer you choose to pair it with. Nectar is still very natural, but gives off a bit of color. You really cannot go wrong!   Also, I should mention that In the past, I’ve raved about the clear highlighter from Kevyn Aucoin, but this one blows that one away.

Super-Loaded Tinted Highlighter

Another incredible highlighter, but unlike the stick, this comes in a powder form. When I’m looking to really amp things up, I apply this highlighter on top of my lit-up stick. I also like to use a little on the bridge of my nose, on my cupids bow, and on my eyelids if I’m not wearing shadow. It comes in three colors, but I’ve only tried the Peau de Peche.

That’s pretty much the break down of the products I’ve tried, but I did order the Face Trace Contour Stick.

For some great tips and tricks on how to apply and wear all of the products (although I really find it pretty foul proof), there are loads of helpful videos on the site.

Interesting stuff Foundation boxes are packages that can be customized to the desired shape, size, and colors. To make your foundation look elegant and simple, these packages are the best. Corrugated, Bux board and cardstock papers are utilized in the manufacturing of this packaging that makes it a perfect cost-effective and environment-friendly solution. The custom nature of this packaging allows the manufacturers to print their logo, net weight, details, and image related to your product on it to tell the people’s story about your foundation product and for the promotion of your business.
