Eat, Drink & Be Merry





 There are few things that bring me more joy than hosting a wine and cheese party with some of my dearest friends. Last Wednesday, I had the fun opportunity to throw a little shin-dig with Alouette Cheese. I invited a few of my favorite people over to the studio space and served up an assortment of wines, cocktails, Alouette Le Petite Fromage & Le Bon Dip, charcuterie and some seasonal fruit, veggies and salads.

To be perfectly honest, actual dinner parties stress me out, but a good ‘wine & cheese’ party has always been one of my favorite ways to entertain. I love the act of buying all the ingredients, the flowers and putting everything together. The vibe is a bit more casual and everyone is free to eat and drink all night long. Maybe now that we’re moving into a place with an actual dining table, I’ll feel differently, but I sort of doubt it.

Thanks to the generous Alouette team, I sent everyone home (including myself!) with a generous goody bag and since then, found a new favorite breakfast: a toasted english muffin (or whatever bread/cracker you like), a wedge of Le Petite Fromage, the garlic and herb being my favorite, and some sliced tomatoes on top. Each wedge is only 40 calories so my breakfast feels a bit indulgent, without actually being so. I’ll pair that with my morning cup of coffee and seriously, I wake up every morning craving that. Highly recommend!
