Party Dressing | Rompers Instead of Dresses
I first discovered the label of this romper, Black Halo, when I was searching for something to wear to a cocktail party. For that particular event, I wasn’t in the mood to wear a dress and instead, ended up wearing this chic jumpsuit.
From that point, I’ve had my eye on their jumpsuits and rompers, the pieces the brand does especially well (in my opinion). After having my eye on this one for awhile, I finally bit the bullet. Since then, I’ve worn this to a party, to a work event and during our trip to Anguilla.
Their pieces are made so well, hug in all the right places and often, are the perfect alternative to wearing a dress.
Also, for those wondering if rompers or jumpsuits are suitable for “cocktail attire,” the answer is absolutely! In fact, I often find myself gravitating towards these type of pieces over dresses. Even when it comes to black tie events, I think the right jumpsuit (not romper) like this one are 100% acceptable.

I love this look! I have a hard time with the style though because not many come in a tall. I have a long torso and broad shoulders (19″ across the back) and they always ride up too much and are not comfortable when moving. I do love the styles you have chosen.
