Celebration of Fall Fashion with T.J. Maxx

I always say that that one of the best things about having a blog is all the incredible people I’ve gotten to meet and work with because of it. Then there are those experiences where I get to actually work on incredibly fun projects with these inspiring people. On top of it, throw in an opportunity where you’re also meeting the readers of your blog, while talking about fall fashion and it’s even more exciting.

Last week was one of those exciting moments for me. As a T.J.Maxx Style Scout, I hosted a fashion event at T.J.Maxx celebrating my favorite fashion season, fall, along with my friends and co-hosts, Keiko, Christine and Mercedes (you may remember me talking about it here). Each of us had the opportunity to invite five of our readers and discuss our favorite topic – fall fashion and trends – while shopping some great designer trends.  I wanted to share my favorite fall trends and tips with you:

*The trends I’m most excited for this fall are leather, sequins, mixed media and faux furs. It’s the one season where I get to wear all my favorite things. So make sure you remember to mix and match when dressing – don’t feel restricted to just one trend.
* Scour the store, at places like T.J. Maxx, I can spend hours walking around to the different departments finding designer items I love and that are the same current-season items I’m already seeing in department stores, I love that!
* And finally, don’t forget that fashion is a way for you to express yourself, so don’t be afraid to flaunt your personal style all season long. In fact, T.J. Maxx launched an online quiz, the Six-Degrees of Self-Expression, diagnosing which style persona you are – make sure to check it out here.
