Lessons in Hair Care
Last year, I remember sitting at the Nexxus salon and chatting with the talented woman who was blow drying my hair. I was venting to her how I was in a bit of a catch 22: I didn't want to always rely on heat to style my hair, but if I let it simply air dry, it would look like a frizzy mess. Side note, that's also part of the reason why I wear it up so often. I'll style my hair, leave it down for a few days and then once it gets oily, I'll throw it up in a low or high bun.

Off the Shoulder
I got both of these pieces over a month ago and finally got around to wearing them over the weekend. What I love most about this dress is that it's perfect for the day but easily transitions into a night time look with a dressier heel, which I wore to party this same night. I had every intention of photographing both looks to show "day into night," but time escaped me. Maybe this weekend if you're interested?!
PS: We finally started watching the highly hyped about Stranger Things and I have to say, we're so into it!
Less is More
When picking my outfit for the day, I usually start with one item I want to wear and I'll style it around that. In this case, it was the shoes and necklace, mixing old with new. Rather than over thinking it, I opted for all black to really let my accessories shine. You could say that's one of the main reasons I "invest" in accessories more than anything. They can make even the most simplest of outfits stand out.

Olive Green
By no means am I trying to rush summer, but my friends often tease me for being that friend that excitedly talks about fall way before I probably should be. I mean, who can resist a chunky sweater and an apple pie? I styled this outfit for a pre-fall project wearing some of my favorite pieces from my closet, including one of my "must have" fall items, a military style cargo vest.
