This past Wednesday, I attended a party in celebration of the US launch of TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe – the brand new hair care and styling products available at Target. As I mentioned in my previous post, the four style collections: Creative, Classic, Glamour & Casual, were developed around personal style and fashion to really bring your hair and wardrobe together. I got to the event a few hours early to watch the brand’s Global Hair Ambassador, Mark Hampton work his magic in creating each look (and to also have him fix my out-of-bed hair). As much fun as I had in helping create the outfits, I especially loved seeing how Mark and TONI&GUY made the head-to-toe, looks come together.
My personal favorite of the night, both in hair and wardrobe was the Glamour (surprise, surprise!) – Going into fall, a faux fur vest is a staple piece that instantly makes me feel glamourous! I love jazzing up a white tee + jeans with a fur vest or really going full on glamourous by pairing it with a sleek jumpsuit. For the Glamour hair look, Mark started out with the Volume Plumping Whip to add some texture and volume and then used a combo of the 1″ and 1 1/4″ curling iron. After combing out her curls, he finished it off with the Firm Hold Hairspray and a vintage-inspired clip to really complete the look.
My other favorite was the Creative because of how intricate the style was. At the party, Mark was saying how much he loved the Style Spray Wax and Texturing Glue for short, textured hair, like hers. I came home and had Keith try it and he was pretty impressed!
The event got me even more psyched for London Fashion Week! Now, I’m especially looking forward in seeing how the hair ties in with the fashion at the runway shows. Which look is your favorite? #HairMeetWardrobe
