Always a reason to celebrate

6eflutes: similar hereI’ve never been one who needs a special occasion to celebrate something, usually taking a simple excuse like “it’s Friday!” to entertain, but the holidays really bring it out in me. Quite frankly, I’ll take any reason to throw a party. And as much as I love the actual party itself, I really enjoy the prep. Sure, I can get mildly stressed out during the process (do I have enough cheese? do I have enough prosecco? etc…) but in a completely different way than styling an outfit, it gets my creative juices flowing. The end result, all just to be surrounded by my favorite people.

In celebration of the upcoming New Year, I’ve partnered with Ecco Domani Prosecco, to host a little party with some of my closest girlfriends, a holiday tradition we’ve had for a decade! We eat, drink, catch up on each others lives and of course, exchange presents. It’s one of those traditions that I pray we continue as we get older, when children come into the picture and when the craziness of life gets in the way because it’s so important to be able to sit back and spend time with the people who matter most. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s truly about.
Okay, back to the party! After much debate, I opted to pour Ecco Domani’s new Prosecco on its own, rather than incorporating it into a cocktail. I could have had both options, but knowing my guests and how they like their drinks, I knew that simple was the way to go. It’s subtly sweet with gentler bubbles making for such a vibrant and refreshing glass! For me personally, when I’m drinking something I truly enjoy, I prefer it with as few ingredients as possible. With that being said, if you do want to add some cheer to your glasses, try adding a stick of  rock candy. I love how festive it looks and if you wish, you can leave in there for some added sweetness.
The party, although on the smaller side, was a huge success! Everyone left happy and cheerful! That’s what I call a great night! Huge thanks to Ecco Domani!
