Beauty: New Items I’m Trying & Favorites I’m Rebuying

Whenever I get my purchases rung up at Sephora, I would almost rather not hear how many points I’ve accrued. I know I spend way too much money there, but what I often say, part of it is research! During my last trip, I picked dup some holy grail favorites and some new products that I’ve been hearing so much about including: Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold, GLAMGLOW STARPOTION and Kiehl’s Youth Dose Eye Treatment.

Continue reading as I break down what I purchased, both new and old.

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado: One of the beauty questions I get asked time and time again is what my favorite eye cream is. There are several that I love (working on post) but Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Treatment is one I always come back to. It’s rich and decadent, which I significantly prefer, yet extremely well priced. Because it’s on the thicker side, I prefer to use this one at night when no makeup is being applied after.

Kiehl’s Youth Dose Eye Treatment:  I’ve been a big fan of Kiehl’s for years and have been pretty excited to try this eye treatment after hearing a lot of buzz in the beauty industry. I love that the ingredients include pro retinol (amazing for fine lines) and vitamin C. It’s also meant to act as a primer for concealer – a major plus for me!

Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold: This is the highlighter, which comes in three beautiful shades, that I had to get after one of my best beauty friends raved about it over and over. Ever since I’ve started using a highlighter on my face, I feel sort of blah if I’m not wearing one. Even on those days where I’m wearing minimal makeup (like concealer and blush), I always sweep a bit of highlighter on my cheekbones, nose and cupids bow. It takes less than 10 second and makes such a difference in how I look and feel. In general, Charlotte Tilbury makes such beautiful products, I could already tell that I’m going to love this one.

GLAMGLOW – STARPOTION Liquid Charcoal Clarifying Oil: I’ve been test driving this oil for several weeks and I have to say, I’m really into it. It’s a first to the market black oil that uses charcoal to moisturize, purify, and refine the skin. Rather than using at night, after my treatments and serums, I’ve been using it under my makeup and SPF.

Drunk Elephant Marula Oil: Including this as an item I repurchased because it’s one of my favorite oils on the market. You can read the original post here.

L’Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil: Including this cleansing oil in the repurchase category. I’m on may third bottle and it remains one of my favorite products to use as my first cleanse. It breaks down makeup beautifully and leaves my skin feeling soft.

Sephora Collection #Lipstories Lipstick – Color #35 Take A Bite: Introducing my favorite new red. I used to be a MAC Red + Ruby Woo girl, but in the last several months, this is the color I’ve been reaching for. Also, anytime I have this on in my stories, I get a ton of DMs asking me what color I’m wearing. If you see me in a red, chances are, I’m wearing this!

Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Treatment: Another repurchase and a product that I’ve raved about several times on here. There are few products that are both gentle yet extremely effective on the skin. If you’re new to acids and looking to even out and brighten your complexion, I cannot recommend Good Genes enough.

Kiehl’s Creme de Corps: Now that the cooler weather is here, my body starts craving a thicker moisturizer. Over a decade later, this remains a holy grail in our bathroom. Even my husband loves it and I often have to hide my bottle so it doesn’t run out as quickly!

SUPERMASK – The Bubble Mask: A clearing sheet mask that detoxes & creates a bubbling effect upon contact with the skin. I’m a sucker for a sheet mask, so really excited about this.

FYI: For those who aren’t Sephora Beauty Insider Members, I recommend signing up to reap so many great benefits throughout the year. More information here.
