Sock boots and booties are all the rage and I’m all about it. They’re flattering on many and look so chic with pants, skirts and dresses. Mine are Balenciaga and definitely a splurge, but there is zero buyers remorse. That actually happens quite often (after trying on with 18498 things) resulting in a return. From the moment I laid my eyes on them, they’ve been haunting my dreams. Then image my disappointment when I was told “they’re hard to track down..” I don’t know about you all, but when I receive that type of news, it makes me want that item even more. It’s like a boy playing hard to get! Finally, after a meeting in midtown two weeks ago, I made a pit-stop at Saks and the Sales Associate was able to track my size down.
The good news is that they’re currently back in stock! But, there are also so many great pairs that won’t break the bank. These are my favorite pairs and stay tuned for the full outfit tomorrow:
Balenciaga –splurge on a timeless classic!
Mango –the most similar to the Balenciaga, at a fraction of the price.
Tony Bianco a chunkier, stacked heel.
(Plus, their site has an entire page dedicated to sock boots! They’re based in AU but ship internationally).
Zara-Under $75!
Stuart Weitzman –in a stunning neutral color!
Lastly, while we’re on the topic of boots, admittedly, I’m very into the white boot trend. I just ordered these. Hopefully I love them just as much in person. Keep you guys posted!

Try as I might, I just can’t get on board with sock boots. I think it’s because I have a strong aversion to crew length socks with skirts and shorts and these just remind me too much of that. Oh well… I’ll wait it out for the next shoe trend.
