My Rituals

At Home Spa Ritual - Rituals for relaxation and happiness

At Home Spa Ritual - Rituals for relaxation and happinessAt Home Spa Ritual - Rituals for relaxation and happiness

In the past year, my life has changed so dramatically that now, more than ever, I value my moments of slowing down. Ironically enough, as crazy as my life has gotten, I’ve become much better at being mindful of the little things. It’s life’s simple rituals that bring me real peace and happiness.

Rituals Cosmetics, whose philosophy is just that: “Rituals helps you slow down, to find happiness in the smallest of things” With inspiration drawn from ancient Asian traditions, it’s about enjoying modern life more mindfully. I’m so excited to have partnered with Rituals Cosmetics to share some of my favorite moments. Some of these happen on a daily basis and some on a weekly, but whatever the case might be, these are my moments.

The At Home Spa:

Anyone that knows me, knows how much I value my beauty routine. Whenever I say to Keith “I’m going upstairs to wash my face and shower” he knows that I don’t mess around. My routine is a chance for me to take a deep breath and slow down. It’s my “me time.” I’ve been using the Rituals Shower Foam and the texture is amazing: rich, creamy and incredibly soothing. I also incorporate the  Rituals Shower Oil and both leave my skin feeling so moisturized.

Also,  for all of my readers, you’re able to pick up a full size luxurious shower foam in any Rituals NYC store or online! Just use the code BrooklynBlonde1 at checkout. Visit Rituals.com/slowdown for more information!

Morning Coffee & Paper

Every weekend, Keith and I rotate one morning for each of us to sleep in. On my mornings, my favorite thing is to read the paper in bed with my cup of coffee. Sometimes I’ll choose waking over sleeping in, just so I’m able to do that. It almost brings me back to the time where I had few responsibilities, a feeling that is important to have every once in awhile! I love rubbing a little bit of the Rituals Relaxing Serum and just “zen-ing” out.

Products Used:  Body Crème and the Relaxing Serum & Body Cream

Bedtime with Nate:

No matter how crazy my day gets, I cherish his bedtime routine more than anything at the moment. Children grow up so quickly that even with the crazy days, I try not to take any moment for granted. Every night, our routine consists of: bathing, lotion, PJ’s, book and bottle! It’s also the only time that he’s peacefully sitting on my lap!

Products Used: I’ve been using the Tiny Rituals line on Nate and we both love it! It’s 100% natural, subtle and extremely soothing. Everything I’d want in a product that I’m applying on my baby.

The Wind down:

As much as I treasure my moments with Nate, any mother would agree that when their child finally goes down to sleep, it’s a sigh of relief. My evenings are my time to unwind from a long day, to have a class of wine or a cup of tea, to read a book, to burn a candle (something that only happenings in the evening!) and to kick my legs up. I’ll use the Relaxing Serum again and the Bed & Body Mist on my pillows and linens! It really does put me at such ease and makes me sleep better at night.

How about you? What are some of your favorite ways to slow down?

I’ve never tried this brand. So interested in the Bed & Body Mist. I love that you can spray it on both yourself and your pillows. I’ll take any recommendation I can on ways to relax at night!

I have been feeling sick for about ten years but now a few years ago I became more weak. These past two years I could not take the pain asked to see wrap doctors demanded. A doctor RA had blood work done then I was sent to an ancologist who did bone marrow said I have multiple myeloma send me to blood hemoglobin specialist Dr . Samir Parekh Associate Professor of Mount Sanai hospital for cancer , but I am not a candidate for any clinical trial so I feel so very sad I still have a son in college a doctor who graduated and I thought I see them get engage married have children I guess I don’t know how to relax if I don’t know if I will live long or dye soon. I’m scared no one is listening my Insuramce does not cover free clinical trials if this can help me relax maybe I will sleep and cry less
