About two weekends ago, Keith and I headed into the city to celebrate the birthday of one of our closest friends. We decided rather than coming home that night, we’d spend the night at a hotel in the city. The thing is, even when you do have a night out, specifically with a bunch of friends where you’re eating, drinking, dancing – in the back of your mind, you know that one of you will be waking up at 6:30-7AM once the baby is up. Sure, you’re still having an amazing time, BUT, there will always be that little voice in the back of your head that says “is that extra drink worth the price you’ll pay in the morning when you’re up bright and early?” So when Keith’s parents agreed to spend the night, we jumped at the opportunity!
Being able to be out, knowing the both of us (because typically, we’d take turns) could actually sleep in, was priceless. We stayed at the new-ish Roxy hotel in the heart of Tribeca for our NYC staycation and it was such a nice time! If you’re looking to stay in the city and are okay with a sprawling mega hotel, I highly recommend!
