Neck Care: How Do You Take Care of Yours?

StriVectin TL Advanced Light Tightening Neck Cream Review

Admittedly, I’m a bit high maintenance when it comes to skincare. I probably use way too many products, but in my defense, my skin has never looked better, and in my 30’s! It’s not to say that it’s flawless (there’s always room for improvement) but these days, I have a much better understanding on how to keep my skin looking bright, glowy and youthful looking.

In the past year or so, I’ve become a bit obsessed with paying more attention to my neck area. While I tend to follow my exact skincare routine when treating my neck, for the past three weeks, I’ve been using StriVectin TL Advanced™ Light Tightening Neck Cream and I have to say, I love it! It feels so good going on and feels much better on my neck area than any face cream I’ve used. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become a bit more paranoid with pronounced neck bands, or as StriVectin appropriately calls “tech neck,” – lines and wrinkles from constantly looking down at our phones and laptops hundreds of times a day. Ugh! Not cute.

BUT, I’m excited about this product and I never thought my neck area would look brighter and better, but i feel like it does.

Have any of you tried the StriVectin TL Advanced Light Tightening Neck Cream ? If so, what are your thoughts? I’m excited to track the progress in a few months from now. As always, I’ll keep you all posted!

Honestly my neck routine consistent of just making sure the cream, oil etc that I use on my face, I also use on my neck. I do think thats quite enough – although it is said age shows on your neck first!

I have neck cream as well, and I love it. Its from Slovenian natural brand Herbio. Before that I did’t really use anything on my neck. Great read! 😉

You often do posts about skincare for your face, and now for your neck, but I was wondering what you do for the rest of your body? I know you’re a huge advocate of dry brushing, but do you have favorite shower/after-shower products, like body washes, oils, or creams? Just curious, as the rest of your suggestions and tips have been really helpful and helped me update my face care routine and how I think about my skin. It made me think – what about the rest of me? Anyway, great post – thanks!

I use my face products on my neck–Per your recommendation I use BR lotion P50 first, followed by a serum and then a cream!! I do use the strivectin eye cream and it is my favorite over any other for a few years now!! Your skin looks beautiful–God bless 🙂

    Hi Helena,

I LOVE your blog! I was wondering if there is a great facial place you would recommend in NYC? I saw a few weeks ago you snapped a picture of Erno Laszlo in Soho, did you like their facial?

    Thank you,
    Joanna

I typically just use my face cream on my neck, but have thought I should invest in one specifically for my neck (I’ve tried a Shiseido one but have never committed). I’m going to look into using this product. Thanks!

Hello Helena, if you are interested there is an excellent book titled “Radiant Health Radiant Skin” by Dr Megan Mathews and Alison Cassar. It is a wholistic approach to skincare. The book is divided into two parts. The first part explains what makes up skin, how it grows and repairs itself, the many important roles it plays and its connections with the body’s internal organs. This then leads into the second half of the book which focuses on organic skincare treatments, nutrition and inner well being on your skin’s health and beauty, all three being necessary to have beautiful skin. As an example, they advocate applying these oils (organic only) to improve skin health – coconut oil, shea butter, macadamia oil, olive oil, rosehip oil, almond oil and jojoba oil. I am not suggesting that this applies to you, but too often women want a quick fix for their skin without wanting to address nutrition and their inner health. The skin reflects what is happening inside our bodies – whether that be digestive problems, liver problems, stress, poor nutrition, exposing ourselves to chemicals found in skincare products. By not attempting to address what is happening within, these superficial cosmetic fixes cannot lead to long lasting beautiful skin. Once again, my comment was not meant to offend, I only wanted to share something that I thought may be of help. My motive, I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder seven years ago and it took me adopting a wholistic and organic lifestyle to get my health back. Daily, take care of and nurture your health because once you lose it, like I did, it is a tough and difficult slog to regain it. Your body speaks to you everyday, please listen to it (something that I did not do).

I have been using Revision lately and I also tried the Obagi decolletage one. I think massages with face oils improve it too.
