I’ve always been a sucker for a dramatic collar and I always joke around that it must be the Russian in me, having grown up with a mother who would go to the grocery store, dressed to the nines. It’s interesting to realize that some things are just embedded in your culture.
On another note, today my phone alerted me that I’m 30 weeks pregnant! Definitely still carrying on the small side, but for the first time, I have strangers asking me when I’m due, rather than wondering “hmmm…is she or isn’t she?”
PS: Heading to Santa Fe tonight with a couple of girlfriends! If anyone has been or has any recommendations, please share!

I'm from NM!! This jacket will fit right in, though you might want to opt for snow boots. Since it's high desert, any snow that falls usually melts some during the day creating a black slush. Not fun!
I'd definitely see the St. Francis of Assisi Basicilla and the Georgia O'Keefe museum. The museum is small but has the single largest collection of her work. The plaza is nice, most of the shops are on it. Dion's (a local place) has the best pizza in the state. I love Cafe Pasqual's, but to be honest any Mexican restaurant will be awesome. Also, it's really New Mexican cuisine served at most Mexican restaurants in the state…the main difference is the chile is hotter. If you can, get the hand rolled blue corn enchiladas with xmas (red AND green chile) and calabacitas (zucchini) instead of beans. Dulce is a great little coffee shop but it's way off the plaza and might be a drive from your hotel. Montezuma coffee is closer to the plaza. If you have time, Ten Thousand Waves is the best spa in the state, with Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs A close second, and both are in such picturesque areas. Santa Fe is the second oldest city in the US that was founded by European settlers, so there are a lot of haunted places. While it sounds cheesy, as a local, I love Pete Sinclaire's history and ghost walk. They book out of the La Fonda hotel.

Welcome to NM! I would recommend eating as much green chile as possible. π There are a TON of great restaurant spots in SF; Restaurant Martin, La Boca for tapas, The Shed for New Mexican, and Bobcat Bite for awesome green chile cheeseburgers (it's actually now called Santa Fe Bite I think). Tons of galleries and museums in Santa Fe, including the small but awesome Georgia O'Keefe museum. 10,000 Waves for spa time. If you have any time in Albuquerque taking the tram to the top of the Sandia is fun (but will be chilly up there). have a wonderful time!
