Pink coat #2! In partnership with Saks, say hello to one of my favorite new coats, this stunning Carven beauty. What
initially drew me to this piece was the oversized shape of it and how
it looked both a bit dramatic, yet incredibly cozy. In general, I’m
always drawn to cape/shawl type coats for that reason alone. I feel like
there’s always an element of glamour to them and while I own a few in
toned down colors, this color felt special.That’s one of the main
reasons I love investing in beautiful coats, it’s the first thing people
notice and almost like the candy wrapper to the rest of your outfit. In
order to balance out the slightly dramatic shape for a daytime look, I
paired it with distressed denim and white pumps. Since then, I’ve worn
it with an all black outfit for a night out and even grey jeans and
simple white sneakers for a casual afternoon. I initially thought it
might be a bit tricky color to style, but it’s actually been quite easy!
Definitely a bit of a showstopper, but in the best possible way.
