For those of you who’ve been following me on instagram, you might have noticed me sharing pics from some open houses that Keith and I have been attending. We’ve been living in our 850 square foot condo for the last six years and while it’s been so good to us, it was time to upgrade into something more spacious. After months of looking in one of the hardest real estate markets in the world, we found a home and neighborhood that felt perfect for our needs. From the beginning, we wanted to stay in Brooklyn, but the more we kept on looking, the more defeated we felt. We considered and looked in Jersey City for awhile (I know, I know… “but you’re Brooklyn Blonde!) but in the end, we found a home in Brooklyn! This fall, we’re moving into a house and a fun fact about me, I’ve never lived in an actual house. Growing up, I lived in a 20-floor building and after that, I lived in other apartment and condo buildings. Aside from that, I’m so excited to decorate and I plan to share the entire process on Brooklyn Blonde!First things first, the closet… obviously. Keith and I made a little fair deal: he could turn the basement into his mix room/studio (he’s an Audio Engineer) and I could turn one of the rooms into a closet/mini office. I’m most excited for my clothes/shoes/bags/accessories to actually be visible! I’m not even going to get into how I have things stored at our current place, but trust me, it’s not cute or incredibly practical.
Above are some photos that are serving as some serious closet inspiration.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
