The Lighter Side of Things

One of the questions I often get, "can I wear white jeans in the winter?" I actually get a bit surprised that some still obey by the "no white post-Labor Day" rule. For me, the key is to pair it with "cold-weather" textures like a knit sweater and suede shoes, even if both are light in color (like I'm wearing above). I also find that white jeans are the most flattering with a shoe, especially with some skin showing,  rather than tucked into a boot, which cuts off the look of the leg.
Lastly, I love that white jeans are a bit unexpected in the winter, yet seem dressier than a pair of blue jeans.

I wish I was bold enough to wear the white pants after labor day..I probably would do it and pair it with a sweater top and booties just to keep it more wintery (like you did)!   89. It is so interesting how each season we devite farther and farther from fashion "rules." It's amazing to think that as little as two decades ago wearing white after labor day would have been committing a major fashion faux pas. Now, I receive mail blasts on a daily basis from retailers encouraging me to check out their selection of "Winter Whites!"

    Also, just out of curiousity--are those tights under your jeans, or do they have black detailing on the bottom?

And while I don't subscribe to the "no white after labour day rule", it's essentially impossible to pull off a look like this in winter here - best case scenario is ankle boots, but pumps & bare feet can't happen until like, April.   100. I´m asking myself, too, if it´s possible to wear white jeans in winter. And normally my answer ist "no" because in our region it´s often muddy and dirty, e. g. when snow is smelting like at the moment. And I don´t like it to run around with dirty jeans which often happens to me in such situations.
