Cool Sunshine

Jacket & Scarf: H&M (recent), Skirt: H&M (old), Shoes: Louboutin (slingback version), Bracelets: J Crew, McQueen, Michael Kors and Hermes. Earrings: J Crew, Sunglasses: Ray Ban.
A few weeks ago while browsing Saks.com, I spotted this plum colored leather jacket. Since I put myself on a leather jacket ban (and not really wanting to spend that much money), I pushed the thought in the back of my head and moved on. A few days later, I was visiting The Westfield Mall Style Lounge and spotted this much cheaper alternative ($50!) at H&M. Obviously this jacket is not leather, but I'm totally fine with it while I stalk wait for the other to go on sale.

PS: I'm leaving for LA tomorrow and am looking to download a new TV series to watch on the plane. What do you guys recommend? Some of my all time favorites that I watched (and highly recommend) are: Six Feet Under, Dexter, Nip Tuck and Lost. Also, currently Keith & I are sort of obsessed with Suits. Brilliant writing + acting!

  32. Revenge, Downton Abbey or Mad Men! I cannot even describe my love for Downton Abbey and Mad Men. Beautifully written and the costumes are amazing. Revenge is a little more campy and fun. All SO good!

  34. The scarf/jacket combo looks like it was made to go together here, with the knit detail on the bottom of the jacket. Love it. Also - if you haven't started Breaking Bad, I would highly recommend it! The first four seasons are available on Netflix, and they're SUPER addicting (pun intended!).

  36. True Blood is AHH_MAZZING!!! I watched all of the seasons within a month! Which included staying up till 3 am to get it done! lol But it is well worth it!! I highly recommend for any vampire, werewolf, semi-syfy lovers!!

  45. A leather jacket ban? LOL! That's so awesome. But you DO have some fabulous leather pieces. I don't think leather ever goes out of style, so that can be another excuse to buy more.

  49. LOST is my number most loved series ever, but watching the whole thing is quite a time commitment. Probably not the best show to start on a plane either since the first thing you see is a plane crash!! :)

I had to comment this post for once; cause I really adoooore (yes, I'm french so, sorry for my english...) your jacket but my really passion is TV shows; and I agree with you suits is sooo great! In the same mood you can watch Franklin & Bash is cool. But the best series ever & recent right now are HOMELAND for sur (Heidi is so right) Persons of Interest; Walking Dead (crazyy), Shameless US, Sons of Anarchy (ok this one is kinda old); If you want to see something more fun: Awkward is definitely soo cool, Once Upon A Time, Dowton Abby (english TV show and really great); Ok i'm gonna stop there, it feels like I'm crazy!!

  76. not sure if you are tally marking all of these recommendations but if my vote counts, I recommend Breaking Bad to every person I know. the best tv show ever....totally not what I thought would be my type of show (a 2nd grade teacher watching a show about making/dealing meth??) but hands down AMAZING. from the other shows that you like, I def think you would become a fan.

  90. I think I like you 10x more for copping to being a fan of Nip Tuck....I loved that raunchy foolishness, I have all the seasons on DVD....no one ever understood my obsession with that show.....Ohhhh how I miss Christian and Kimber's ridiculousness :) Hope you had a great short trip!
