Fall Ahead

Handbag: Brahmin, Trench: Top Shop (old, but similar options here and here) Jeans: 7FAM, Shoes: Herve Leger.  Jewelry: J Crew, McQueen, Amrita Singh. 
A few months ago, I collaborated with Brahmin where they asked me (and a few others) to choose a few bags from their Fall 2012 line and style them however we pleased. Here I went with a transitional fall outfit that incorporates two of my favorite things: rich berry hues + a trench coat (I own this one here and also this traditional trench). 
A little side note about these pictures: Kim & I shot these  on one of the hottest days of the summer. Seriously, it might have been 97 degrees + 90 humidity.  I'd be lying if I said that taking off these skinny jeans didn't present quite the challenge.

  20. How exciting to collaborate with Brahmin, I always see their baggys at Dillards and admire all the beautiful colors used and exotic skins. Reminds me of Nancy Gonzalez, but less of an impact of my bank account lol. Beautiful pictures, I can imagine how hot you must have been; living in Houston I know too too well how steamy and uncomfortable humidity is.

  45. I am in lovvve with this! Berry/Burgundy colors are my favorite for fall and nothing beats a classic trench... especially this one with the amazing leather sleeves! GORGEOUS, Helena! And can totally relate to doing "fall" photoshoots in crazy summer heat! I just did one too, with a friend... luckily I was in a silk blouse so stayed cool, but poor Kristin was wearing a wool sweater & dying! Can only imagine these jeans!

  68. Those PANTS!! I absolutely love them, and LOL at having to wear that in 90 degree weather hope the actual shoot was short. I'v been living on Maxi dresses and skirts these past few weeks, this NYC weather is insane.
