Fruit Stripe

ASOS Dress, Madewell Pumps, ASOS Coat (last year), Express Tights, Vintage Chanel Bag, Karen Walker Sunglasses, Gloves via Macy's. Jewelry: Poshlocket, Hermes, J Crew. Lipstick: MAC Impassioned.
I've always said that January is one of my least favorite months of the year, with everything being quite grey and dreary on the East Coast and the temperatures making it almost impossible to want to (or even care to) look even remotely fashionable.
After being sick with the stomach flu + a cold for over a week (and living in pajamas),  I was itching to dress up a little for a get together with some friends. I went all out in the color department, although I promise, I did wear snow boots while trekking along the snow outside.
***
On a completely different subject, recently I worked on an amazing project with Lancome, which I'll share with you all in a few weeks. In the meantime, here's a little teaser.

  48. Hi Helena,

Longtime lurker fan of your blog. I feel so silly for asking this, and I know I'm a bit belated, because you just did a beauty post, but your hair always looks so natural, and I was wondering what you use on your roots?

    Thanks!

    Brynna

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Brynna, thank you!! I use Garnier Extra Light Natural Blonde (#100) on my roots every 3-4 weeks. I used to use a salon formula rather than a box, but I was liking the results from this color so much better. I only do my roots (by myself) and then 2-3x a year I get a few highlights and also get it washed with a toner. Hope that helps!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh, also wanted to add - i just did my roots in these images & I never love how they first look. Hair always looks better after a wash.
