Day into Night

Hung out with Christine, Kim, Keiko and Lindsey last night at the Cooper Square Hotel and had such a fun night. The food, prepared by Chef Dominique Macquet, was incredible and don't even get me started on the views. I will say, it never gets old. ever.

Icing on the Cake

The title of this post says it all: it's in the details. To me, accessories (nail polish, shoes and bags included, of course!) make the outfit - or at least put the icing on the cake. When Taylor of Sterling Style did this details post, it was one of my personal favorites and I got inspired to compile one of my own. Here are some of my favorite detail shots.

Breakfast & Brunches

These pictures were taken on one of my favorite days during Fashion Week. The day started off with a champagne breakfast @ Lucky Magazine with Brandon Holley, John Jannuzzi & some of the Lucky Style Collective members. After breakfast, the wonderful people at UGG invited us to their incredible showroom for some brunch (some more eating). We ate, chatted, drank some mimosas and took a look at their new collection.  Overall, it was a pretty incredible day and I also got to wear my new Rachel Roy dress that I scored for around $50!

First Signs

Ahh, the first signs of fall. Nothing makes me happier than that. The air is starting to feel crisp and It's the only time of year I can wear bare legs and layers on top and be perfectly comfortable. Also, for some odd reason, the start of the season makes me want buy lots of candles (like pumpkin spice & warm caramel apple).  Here's to a long, long fall and a short winter - one can hope, right?

As much as I love to get dressed up, I equally love a good pair of jeans. Instead of sticking with basic blue denim, I tend to lean towards unconventional jeans: colored, patterned and denim with fun details.

When J Brand asked me to style these Jodhpur jeans, I jumped on the opportunity. I immediately fell in love with the modern riding look feel of them and the fact that they fit like a glove did not hurt. I wanted to style them in an outfit I'd wear to work or to a meeting and one that was a bit more weekend casual, like this one. Easily my new favorite fall and winter jean, hands down.

Whirlwind

These pictures were taken on Thursday, prior to brunch at Balthazar (one of my favorites in NYC) with Alicia from Cheetah is the New Black & Krystal from This Time Tomorrow, who I was SO happy to finally meet in person. We instantly hit it off and spent the next few hours engaged in non-stop conversation, shopping and of course, taking some photos for the blog. Thanks to Alicia, who took these photos for me!
Oh, and I realize that I have one sleeve up and one down in the last photo - debated on whether I should put it up or not, but since it is reality, up the picture went!

Lucky FABB Awards

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the Lucky FABB conference and the entire day was nothing short of incredible. From hearing the panels of inspiring speakers (DVF was my personal favorite) to finally meeting some  of my blogger friends, Im even slightly sad that the day has come and passed. It felt sort of like a vacation you look forward to and then poof... you're back home.

Another one of my highlights was the Lucky FABB/Zappos awards, where I (some how) won Most Influential Up & Coming Blogger. I was completely shocked and was probably shaking when I accepted the award, but it made an already incredible day & night even more magical.
